Product description

Dexdomitor 0.1 is a sedative, analgesic and preanesthetic sterile injectable solution for intramuscular and intravenous use in dogs and intramuscular use in cats.

Active ingredients

Each mL of Dexdomitor 0.1 contains:

• Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride 0.1 mg
• Methylparaben 2.0 mg
• Propylparaben 0.2 mg
• Sodium chloride 9.0 mg
• Water for injection

Indications for use

• Dexdomitor is indicated for use as a sedative and analgesic in dogs and cats to facilitate clinical examinations, clinical procedures, minor surgical procedures, and minor dental procedures.

• Dexdomitor is also indicated for use as a preanesthetic to general anesthesia in dogs and cats.

Administration and dosage

• Dogs:

  • Sedation and Analgesia: 500 mcg/m2 intramuscularly (IM) or 375 mcg/m2 intravenously (IV).
  • Preanesthesia: 125 or 375 mcg/m2 IM. The choice of preanesthetic dose depends on the duration and severity of the procedure, as well as the anesthetic regime.

• Cats:

  • Sedation, Analgesia and Preanesthesia: 40 mcg/kg intramuscularly (IM).
  • This dose can also be used as a preanesthetic and has been shown to markedly reduce anesthetic requirements in cats.
