Albuterol Sulfate is a bronchodilator prescribed by your veterinarian to treat bronchitis, asthma, cough or other respiratory conditions in cats, dogs, and horses. Albuterol works by relaxing the airway muscles and improving the flow of air to the lungs, which open up the airways in your animal’s lungs to make it easier to breathe and alleviate bronchospasm or cough. Bronchospasm occurs when the airways go into spasm and contract. This makes it hard to breathe and causes wheezing. Bronchospasm can also cause frequent coughing without wheezing.

Active ingredients

Each albuterol sulfate tablet, for oral administration contains 2 or 4 mg of albuterol.

Inactive ingredients: lactose anhydrous, magnesium stearate, pregelatinized starch, and sodium lauryl sulfate.

Indications for use

Albuterol is used to open the airways in the treatment of bronchitis and asthma. Albuterol is used to alleviate bronchospasm or cough.
