Product description

Orthokine Vet IRAP 60 system is for use in horses only.

Active ingredients

Orthokine Vet IRAP 60 kit contains:

  • 60 mL irap syringe, 20G butterfly cannula, syringe cap and a storage box.

Indications for use

  • Orthokine Vet IRAP 60 utilizes the patient's own blood and natural healing mechanisms.

  • Orthokine Vet IRAP 60 patented irap syringe produces autologous conditioned serum which contains active quantities of anti-inflammatory and regenerative cytokines.

Administration and dosage

  • Blood withdrawal (routine aseptic technique):

    • Prepare sampling site aseptically. Puncture vein with included butterfly-cannula. Attach Orthokine Vet (60 mL) syringe to butterfly-cannula. Gently draw back plunger of the syringe to the end (click into place). Wait until blood-flow stops. Detach syringe from butterfly-cannula and close with enclosed green luer lok cap. Gently invert syringe several times. Label Orthokine®vet (60 mL) syringe with patient’s name and date and time of blood withdrawal.
  • Incubation:

    • Incubate blood filled Orthokine Vet (60 mL) syringe at 37° C (98.6° F). Max. time between blood withdrawal and centrifugation: 24 hours!
  • Centrifugation:

    • Gently invert incubated Orthokine Vet (60 mL) 3 to 5 times before centrifugation. Break off plunger. Place incubated syringe in the centrifuge (load symmetrically with counterbalance). Centrifuge for 10 minutes at 2100 g RCF (RPM according to centrifuge model).
  • Aspiration of ACS (routine aseptic technique):

    • Gently take Orthokine Vet (60 mL) syringe out of the centrifuge and place in a rack on disinfected working surface. Break off diagonally placed, elongated clips on guide plate. Take off guide plate. Place triangular extraction port over lowest point of serum. Attach 20-30 mL syringe to 100 mm needle. Penetrate the black stopper through triangular extraction port stabilising the white plunger with thumb and index finger. Slowly aspirate ACS. Do not aspirate red blood cells. Gently transfer collected ACS through sterile filter (0.22 µm) and luer luer adapter into aliqot syringes. Close filled aliqot syringes with sterile caps. Label aliquot syringes and freeze (-18° C/-0.4° F or colder) for storage. Shelf life: 7 months post processing. Filter the obtained ACS through sterile filters (0.22 µm) at usage!
